“it will be okay” was published in January 2026 and is an Amazon Best Seller.
This book features free verse poetry that expresses that through the good and the bad, there can still be beauty found no matter what. And even when things seem like they won’t get better, it’s important to remember that no matter what, things will work out and that it will all be okay.
It can be purchased on IngramSpark, Amazon, Barnes and Noble and select bookstores.
Inspo/Fun Fact(s): This book was originally called, “To Him: The Story Of Us.” I wrote it when I was 19 and going through a really bad heart break! I remember feeling so alone, like no one else would relate to the things I was feeling. I was attending college and between classes, I would write to distract myself. My best friend loved my writing and always encouraged me to write. Whether it was fiction, young adult, romance, or poetry, she truly believed in my work!
For her 22nd birthday, I compiled some of the poems I wrote. However, it looked completely different from how “it will be okay” turned out! First of all, it was self-edited so there were a lot of typos! Next, there were NO drawing! (Fun fact: I can’t draw!) And lastly, the cover was basically blank! I made 2 copies, one for her and one for me. I basically put it into my writing vault and went on with my life! I never thought I was good at poetry writing so I didn’t think much about it! Especially since I wrote the poems at 19!
When I was around 23, I went back and looked at my writing. Revisiting the poems made me want to give my 19 year old self a big hug! What I was feeling was so valid and I think a lot of other people can relate! I felt like even if one person could be helped by reading my poems, it would be worth it to publish! I cut out some poems that were too personal to publish (sorry guys) and I renamed the book, ‘it will be okay’ because I wish I could have told my younger self that!
The poems professionally edited by Kristiana Reed (such a good editor!) Illustration’s both done inside the book and on the cover were done by Rein G. Rein also formatted the poems for me!
The book ended up becoming an Amazon best seller which I would have never imagined what would happen! I’m so grateful for everyone who’s told me that they love the poems and that it’s helped them or that they can relate! I would love to write more poetry in the future (if enough people request it!)
